Strawberry Wine

So with all this turbo cider my girlfriend said about making some strawberry

wine, so today at my local market i thought why the hell not ad brought 3lbs of
strawberries.

So here we go, this made 2 gallons but you can use 3lbs for 1 gallon but
after putting half the wort into a demijohn i thought to plsit this into two.

Wash your strawberry to make sure there clean and have no
pesticides.

Chop of the tops of the strawberries and liquidise them. I
also added 500g of sugar at this point.

Dissolve 1kg of sugar for each demijohn.

Add your strawberry wort to each demi john, Add to EACH
demijohn 1kg of sugar then top up with cold water, Add yeast nutrient and citric
acid. Leave this to cool when you are going to store your DJ's.

Pitch your yeast when cooled and put a air lock in, then wait
till clear and bubbles have stopped going through the air locks then bottle into
wine bottles with 1 table spoon of sugar or honey to sweeten.

The Gravity for these are as follows:-
Left - 1.080
Right 1.070

Mead V1

I thought to give a mead a try as i do enjoy a mead and this should be ready
next year, ive only got a picture of the finihsed product but i shall tell you
how to make the mead.

  • Boil some water in a pan.
  • Heat 3lbs of honey in the microwave for 2-3 minutes add this to your
    boiling water.
  • Add the honey and water to your fermenting vessel.
  • Top up your fermenting vessel to 1 gallon.
  • Add yeast nutrient
  • one table spoon of citric acid.
  • Pitch your yeats

Now leave this in a place to brew for about 6 months, when clear rack to

bottles or pressure barrel and leave for another year, longer you leave it the
better it will get. Here is the mead in the demijohn.

Youngs Definitive Lager

Well it's been a while since I last did a update but ive put on some more brews,
So first off i have done a Young's Definitive Lager.

So here we go a step by step guide on how to make a lager. ^_^ This is a 1.6K

tin so you need to add sugar. 1Kg worth. ^_^

First Sterilize your fermenting Vessel.

Open your Kit with a Sterilized can opener.

Boil some water and dissolve your sugar in this.

Add your contents of your kit into the FV.

Add 3 pints of boiling water and you sugar water to the FV and
you dissolved sugar and mix well, keep stirring to aerate your wort, Try and
keep doing this as long as you can, more air you can get into the wort the
better.

Top up with distilled water to 5 gallons, leave to cool and
transfer to where you shall be keeping your brew, when cooled pitch your
rehydrated yeast. ^_^ Leave to brew for 5-7 days. Then transfer to a 2nd
Fermenting vessel for 2-3 days hten barrel with 3 Oz of sugar dissolved in a
pint of your brew. ^_^
