This is how to make a simple turbo cider. ^_^ You can also make this the same way in a 2 litre pepsi bottle, don't use a air lock just simply tighten the cap but leave it loose so gas can escape.
Equipment:-
Demijohn (DJ)
Air Lock
Yeast (or bread yeast)
Yeast Nutrient (optional)
Video:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKBBOwm5UjE
*Fill DJ with Apple Juice*
*Leave a Gap for Yeast Cap.*
*Add Tea spoon of yeast nutrient.*
*Add tea spoon of yeast (bread)*
*Add air lock.*
I have Used a 89p (1.5L) apple juice from lidl, I ave not added any sugar to this TC as i'm trying to make a TC to my taste, i had a reading of 1.030, that should give me a 3-4% cider.
Also try and avoid any apple juice made from concentrate and also that has preservatives.
BUT if you would like this stronger then add some sugar to a source pan with some apple juice in it. Gently simmer till sugar is dissolved then add this mixture to the DJ before the yeast nutrient and yeast.
Thank you for reading and please check out my links section to the right for relative information about brewing and TC. ^_^

Having watched the video, I think you may have made a bit of an error. That wasn't apple juice you used, it was an apple 'drink'. The package appears to say that there is 50% juice in the carton, the rest presumably being water. This could explain the very low OG. Maybe it will come out OK, but perhaps best not to keep it too long at that strength. Cheers, Mark
Like the blog, I'm doing a cider experiment too but with 100% apple juice made from concentrate, no additives. OG 1044 FG 1000 approx 6.2%. It's currently in a secodary fermenter to clear, but I tasted a sample and it was pretty good. I just wondered why it would be a problem to do this from concentrate?
I used Asda apple juice 88p a litre. Checkout my blog if you like to see how it turns out.
Thanks.
i started this recipe last monday it has now been a week. on the first couple of days it bubbled so much it overflowed but then calmed down now to a complete stop. and the smell coming off of it isnt very pleasant...is this normal?
hi i am totally knew to homebrewing and decided Turbo Cider was a good way to start me off, i have only used yeast (bread) in my mix which has being fermenting for 18hours now, and want to know if it's to late to add yeast nutrient and what the nutrient does differently to just using yeast. thank you

i used the 100% apple juice made from concentrate, i left it fermenting for five days then put it in another container to clear for a couple of days, then bottled it. it tasted quite nice with an alcoholic kick to it.
